A SLICE OF THE COMMUNITY. TOWN HALL

Join Nashville PBS host Jerome Moore for a taping of A Slice of the Community featuring clips from THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a documentary series from Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt. Moore’s guests will be Dr. Amy Sayward, director of the American Democracy Project at Middle Tennessee State University, and Dr. Learotha Williams Jr., professor of African American and public history at Tennessee State University. The speakers will share insights on Southern life during the Revolution, and everyone will be encouraged to reflect on what it means to be an American 250 years later. This event is free, but reservations are required. Food will be provided by Five Points Pizza, Slice‘s official pizza sponsor. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The taping begins promptly at 6:45 p.m
