SouthTalks: THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION Film

At 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 in Barnard Observatory, the University of Mississippi in conjunction with MPB will host a pre-screening of the new film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt, THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, presented in conjunction with the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, which seeks to investigate, document, interpret, and teach about the American South through academic inquiry and publications, documentary studies of film, photography, and oral history, and public outreach programs.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in room 105 of the Barnard Observatory and be followed by a panel discussion featuring local historians Susan Stearns, Robert Colby, and Don Guillory. Event contacts are Afton Thomas and Katie McKee.
